Ingersoll-Dresser Pump Company unexpectedly needed a new source for a Shell Molded and Cored Castings. Quickly, Acme mobilized utilizing its talented personnel in all departments to get the job done. In a short time, Acme was able to ship two 14 lb. iron castings to IDP in 4 days.
The two sample castings were made using both shell and no-bake methods.
The castings received specification approval in less than one week and Acme was entrusted to produce another 38 pieces for IDP. Since the initial order, Acme has produced hundreds of the shell molded and cored castings for IDP.
